MailMagick - Email Policy Server

MailMagick is a kind of transparent SMTP proxy server for inbound and outbound Email. MailMagick will filter, organize and quarantine mail to protect your users.

When a SMTP request for receipt or delivery of a mail is received MailMagick performs a variety of processes:

Blacklist and blocklist checks:

We maintain our own blacklist as well as check major public blacklists for all IP addresses and domains associated with a message

IP routing analysis:

Reverse lookups, geolocation and server provider analysis allows us to understand the real origin of mail.

Virus and malware scanning:

Scanning of all mail attachments using a variety of up-to-date malware/virus signatures.

Address verification:

All associated email addresses contained in a message are verified for authenticity using several techniques.

Link verification:

All associated email links (URLs) contained in a message are verified for authenticity and scanned for malicious signs.

Bayes classifiers:

Our "naive bayes" classifiers are trained against millions of verified spam messages so will reliably flag spam.

User defined policy:

100% customizable policy allows you to organize or filter mail using simple rule sets.

Privacy

MailMagick has a strict no-log policy for all parts of the software stack. We also do not store inbound/outbound messages to disk at any point.
This ensures you can use MailMagick without needing to worry about privacy leaks, we simply don't have access to your data!

Setup

Configuring MailMagick is super simple:

For inbound mail just set your domain(s) MX records your dedicated SMTP server address.
For outbound mail just set your users SMTP server to your dedicated SMTP server OR configure your existing SMTP servers to forward mail to MailMagick.
